thanks for the work around, found an instance that triggers it every time while debugging. I'd need a hell of a lot more reasons to even consider mac tho.

I was billed on my credit card for something Microsoft XBox and in the state of WA and it was for 4.99. I don't even own an Xbox. How much fraud is involved with this I wonder?

I am finding a encryption version of rdiff-backup based on GnuPG for more than one year. Do you have any design ideas or code?

I do not like EncFS+rdiff-backup, esp. passwords stored (and hashed, I know) in remote servers.

With GPG+rdiff-backup, asking passwords is not suitable in cron-jobs, but acceptable.

rsnapshot will generate very large files, I have no concrete ideas about that, but doubt that.

I feel the same way. What is up with this silly Health Care Bill. A waste of a lot of money! The problem is if you voice your opinion they don't even listen to you these days. I don't condone what is happening in the town halls, but the reason they are yelling and make problems is because their representatives are not listening.

I had a bad experience like this with a hosting company. It makes business sense to not make canceling "easy", but it should at least be able to happen without dealing with a sales rep (IVR at the very least).

I also think notifying consumers prior to renewal should be a legal obligation.

Like DUH.. They once told me that even though I had a confirmed cancelation of my account and they had then billed my card for an automatic renewal that their computer could not make an error!!
Watch your card for an automatic billing....

Thank you for that. Saved me time on our vmWare system. The same problem happens in Xen but the file you have to work on is called z25_persistent-net.rules, using the same path you have noted above.

Oh man do I feel your pain. My recent call to them was nearly as horrendous. I kept telling the agent that my DVD drive had died and they couldn't understand what I was saying. After repeating myself over and over using different words she finally understood.

How in the world is $7.99 a month cheaper than $30 a year? Even their $50 a year is cheaper than $7.99 a month. I went to North Sanpete High School, which means I can't add :) but even I know that $30 a year is cheaper than $7.99 a month :)

I just got the new xbox live last night... i don't like it... and i was not happy how i was forced to make an avatar.

anyways, I erad the link on netflixes encoding proces... interesting stuff but based on my experience and that information the picture must look pretty terrible.

maybe i could go work for them..... haha

I actually got to see a 3/4 solar eclipse in brasil when I was there in '95. It was very strange because the outdoors got dark for about 20 minutes. I guess it was more like dusk when you can't see very well. Then it got light again. We had some welders glass to look through to see the eclipse. Although it wasn't a total solar eclipse it was pretty sweet.

woops. Directv HAS VOD service which is completely free. It's been "soft launched" already. It'll be advertised in a couple months I believe.
